Biography

Hello and welcome to my website!

My name is Peter Wisan, and I'm a writer, filmmaker, and Marine Corps veteran. As a storyteller, I absolutely love pointing people towards the powerful hope, resilience, and unity found in the Christian faith through well-crafted tales. I particularly think "joy" is the most underserved Fruit of the Spirit, so these days I'm focused on faith-based comedy films.

I earned my Master's in Western Literature from the Belgian university KU Leuven because I believed studying literature in the heart of Europe would sharpen my storytelling. Now with nearly two decades of writing and filmmaking under my belt, I've developed a knack for building memorable characters, rich worlds, and endlessly quotable dialogue.

Also, I don't know what it is about them, but I LOVE learning and teaching languages. I have a lifelong goal to be conversant in 10 languages (besides English), and I'm around halfway there with Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese (and whenever I knock the rust off, I get by decently in German). My wife Sarah and I currently live on a sailboat in Southern California, where we're committed to living the best story we can.
